We strongly stand against discrimination of any kind. Youth for Humanity endeavours to instil a feeling of equality in children. On the same lines, ‘Summer Safari’ is our grand event in which a summer camp is organised annually. This was previously organised in the month of June, from 10th -17th June, 2015. It comprised of many fun activities for children where children from all sections of the society participated. The activities included artwork, dance, self-defence, yoga, sports like cricket and football, and much more. Inspired by all the love and appreciation received in the first summer camp, Youth for Humanity decided to come up with 'Summer Safari 2016'. The camp was held between 13th-18th June, at Sadbhavana Park, Virat Khand 2, Gomti Nagar, followed by the finale event on the 19th at Rose Park, Virat Khand 2. Over 85 children, most of who came from less privileged sections, participated in the camp and received training in self-defence, yoga, sports, singing, and dancing. Adequate refreshments for the children were provided daily. They also learned art and craft, and actively participated in the quiz competition held daily. The grand finale function included music, dance, and self-defence performances by children, along with a skit by the NGO members. The function was graced by Smt. Juhie Singh, and Dr Shailesh Mishra, Director at Shanti Group of Colleges. The event turned out to be a huge success, and left behind an immense satisfaction of having done something worthwhile.
